No. 4 UW lost three of four games to No. 2 UCLA over the weekend

The GIST: Badgers and Bulldogs and Huskies, oh my! Women’s college athletes are winning titles, breaking streaks and making their voices heard. But what else is new?

The American League (AL) West-leading Mariners won two of three games against the Houston Astros this weekend.

The GIST: With championships, upsets and winning streaks on the women’s side along with a former college football champ (and soon to be NFL star) winning the Internet, it was quite the weekend in college sports. Everybody’s hands go up.

The GIST: Art: Sue Bird’s new CarMax commercial. Also art: the Gonzaga men’s basketball team. Elite Eight, here we come!

The GIST: We’re jealous of all you lucky ducks who were greeted by our fave power couple Sue Bird and Megan Rapinoe at the Lumen Field mass vaccination site yesterday. Hey Sue, Megan, while you’re there...care to help the Seahawks make roster decisions?

The GIST: As if we needed more proof why Washington was named the best state in the country, again: our college teams keep on winning. We love it here.

The GIST: With both Gonzaga basketball teams dishing out nail biters en route to their WCC championship victories, the madness is already here. No pressure, no diamonds.
