Nats have yet to open their season

There was only one Red Sox winner from opening weekend and that was pitcher Tanner Houck’s mom.

Today is the day we’ve all been waiting for: the NCAA women’s basketball championship. So before the 6 p.m. ET tip-off between Stanford and Arizona, here’s a look at how we got here, what this means for both teams and who will be the difference makers tonight.

The GIST: The C’s lost their second straight last night, but nothing can stop us from smiling today because it’s officially the most wonderful time of the year: Red Sox season! Good times never seemed so good.

It’s Opening Day, and our Phils are kicking off the season against (one of) our favorite teams to hate, the Atlanta Braves.

Behind a team-leading 36 points from none other than Luka Doncic, the Mavs posted a 113–108 victory over the Boston Celtics last night.

The pinstripes are back, and so is pitcher Gerrit Cole.

The GIST: For the first time in NCAA women’s basketball history, a freshman is the AP Player of the Year and two Black women will be head coaches in the Final Four. Oh yeah, and there are two thrilling games on deck for tomorrow night. More herstory, please.

The GIST: Two No. 1 seeds and a No. 2 seed advanced to the men’s Final Four with a No. 11 tagging along, looking to crash their party this Saturday. Bring on the madness.
