🏀Wizards: The Wizards couldn’t officially punch their ticket to the play-in tournament last night, dropping a second straight close game to the Atlanta Hawks. Russell Westbrook, aka Mr. Triple-Double, put the team on his back, but his double-double of 34 points and 15 assists wasn’t enough.

  • The Wiz can still clinch their play-in spot tonight with a little help. Hey, Toronto, we’d really appreciate it if you beat the Chicago Bulls tonight. XOXO, Wizards fans.

⚾️Nationals: The Nats lost for the seventh time in eight games last night, falling 5–2 in 10 innings to ex-Nat Bryce Harper and the Philadelphia Phillies. The relief pitchers continue to struggle for the Nats, giving up the tying run in the ninth inning before allowing three in the 10th.

  • See if the Nats can avoid the sweep today at 1:05 p.m. ET. We’re not holding our breath.

🎓⚽️Soccer: Unseeded Virginia women’s soccer will aim to upset No. 1 Florida State in tonight’s College Cup semifinal at 6 p.m. ET. Though it might seem impossible, it’s not: when the ACC foes met in October, the ’Hoos kept things close in a 4–3 loss.

  • Count on forwards Diana Ordoñez and Alexa Spaanstra, who’ve combined to score seven of UVA’s nine goals this tournament, to find the back of the net for the ’Hoos. Time to ruin FSU’s perfect season.
