🏈Cowboys: We already knew Cowboys owner Jerry Jones liked it and now he finally put a ring on it, signing quarterback Dak Prescott to a four-year, $160 million contract on Monday, with a record-breaking $66 million signing bonus. Cha, and we cannot emphasize this enough, ching.
- Dak was all smiles during yesterday’s press conference, saying he’s a “Cowboy forever” and setting his sights on a Super Bowl parade in the Big D. Sounds good to us!
- Speaking of the Super Bowl, the ’Boys made a few moves yesterday to free up space heading into NFL free agency. Feels like our year, Cowboys Nation.
🏀Mavericks: The Mavs picked up right where they left off, defeating the San Antonio Spurs 115–104 last night in their first game back after the All-Star break, extending their win streak to four. Don’t mess with (North) Texas.
- Dallas will look to keep things rolling in tonight’s 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. CT battle with the Oklahoma City Thunder. Do we hear five in a row?
⚾️Rangers: Yesterday, the Rangers announced that the stands will be filled to 100% capacity for their April 5th home opener. While we’re also hopeful about the future, with less than 10% of Texans fully vaccinated, this feels too soon.
- For now, we’ll (still) be rocking our favorite quarantine sweats, masking up and cheering on the Rangers from home. The beer is way cheaper here anyway.
