Norway underwhelms: The Gresshoppene arrived at this year’s WWC ready for redemption — but instead lost last week’s opener 1–0 to co-host No. 26 New Zealand (The Football Ferns first-ever World Cup victory) and drew 0–0 with fellow group-favorite No. 20 Switzerland yesterday.
- Now without star forward Ada Hegerberg, who didn’t play in yesterday’s match due to a reported groin injury, winless Norway are at the bottom of the group standings, making a trip to the knockout stage nearly impossible. Naur-way.

TL;DR: Widely considered one of the easiest groups in the tourney, there weren't supposed to be any surprises in Group A. But, thanks to the always entertaining parity in the women’s game, it looks like we can expect a hella chaotic finale. Just don’t sleep — it’s fine!
