The GIST: The Hub welcomed the newest Celtics in last night’s NBA draft, while the Patriots plan to keep their winning streak alive. Things are heating up!

🏀The picks are in: The Celtics tried to trade away their three first-round picks and move up to a top-three selection, but it didn’t materialize. Instead, with the No. 14 pick, the C’s selected Aaron Nesmith (pronounced NAY-SMITH), who was an excellent three-point shooter at Vanderbilt last season. Basketball just runs in his veins.

  • The Celts snagged another great shooter in the first round in Payton Pritchard, the Pac-12 Player of the Year. Draining 3’s all day!
  • The NBA frenzy isn’t over yet. With Gordon Hayward seemingly on his way out of Beantown and free agency opening up tomorrow, we bet the C’s have more tricks up their sleeves.

🏈Two-stepping with the Texans: The Pats could claw back to .500 with a win over the Houston Texans. With Texan quarterback (QB) Deshaun Watson at the helm, it’s hard to count out Houston even with their 2-7 record. However, we expect to see Pats running back Damien Harris and QB Cam Newton, who has nine rushing touchdowns this season, exploit Houston’s leaky rushing defense. Tune in Sunday at 1 p.m. ET to see if the Pats can string together three consecutive wins. Let’s go!
