The GIST: As the league prepares to honor one of the three MVP finalists with individual hardware, the Ottawa Charge and defending champ Minnesota Frost continue to battle it out for the real prize: the Walter Cup trophy, which could be awarded by the next time we talk.

Minnesota pushes Game 2 to overtime (OT), wins 2–1 to even series: After scoreless play for nearly all of regulation, this Finals showdown went to OT for the second straight tilt following a late third-period goal from polarizing Frost forward Britta Curl-Salemme.

  • And while Ottawa outshot Minnesota 38 to 24 in the contest, the Frost ultimately came out on top thanks to Curl-Salemme's OT game-winner. A true stunner.

Can the Frost maintain momentum as the series shifts to Minnesota?: The defending champs guaranteed themselves two home games with last night’s win: Game 3 tomorrow and Game 4 on Monday, both at 5 p.m. ET.

  • With the best-of-five series currently even 1-1, it’s anyone’s guess who will pull ahead — but a boost from the State of Hockey faithful could spark captain Kendall Coyne Schofield and Co. to a historic second Walter Cup. Can’t miss this.
