The GIST: After a week off from the Eagles and too much time on our hands to troll our other teams, the Birds are back this Sunday to take on the NY Giants.

One team, one dream: The Eagles had some much-needed R&R last week, but now it’s time to focus up on making the playoffs. To earn a playoff berth, the Eagles have to clinch the NFC East, meaning winning their remaining three divisional games is not only a want, but a need.

  • This game is v. significant for the division, given that the Giants just beat the Washington Football Team (WFT). Washington is currently second in the division, so if the Giants can outplay the Eagles this weekend, the Birds’ top spot in the division will be up for grabs. Not, not nervous.

The boys are back: Some great news: two offensive studs, running back Miles Sanders and wide receiver Alshon Jeffrey, are likely to return to the field from injuries this week. It’s no secret that the Eagles’ offense has been beat up all season, but the return of these two stars could mean big things for the Birds, especially against the beatable Giants.

In NCAA news: Speaking of beatable teams, the Penn State Nittany Lions will take on the Nebraska Cornhuskers this weekend, and both teams are still vying for their first win of the season. WE ARE...still not convinced.

🥊One last thing: We’ve partnered with our friends at BoxUnion to bring our regional GISTers a complimentary LIVE fitness class on Saturday, November 21st at 12 p.m. ET.
