The GIST: The Lakers and Clippers didn’t have much going (well, besides a farewell to Landry Shamet) in yesterday’s NBA Draft. And with the Rams off until Monday Night Football, let’s talk Chargers. Bolt up.

Hot in here: Where to begin? The 2-7 Bolts’ struggle to finish games is well-documented. But their Sunday opponent is the winless NY Jets. If the Chargers can’t beat ’em, it might be time to ask head coach Anthony Lynn to please pack his knives and go.

New hair, maybe new Chargers: And while Charger QB Justin Herbert proved you shouldn’t ask him for haircut advice, his decision-making skills on the field are pretty solid. He’ll look to target wide receivers Keenan Allen and Mike Williams often, especially against the Jets’ poor pass defense.

Sharpen up: The Chargers' defense, which could see defensive end Joey Bosa return from concussion protocol, will need to shut down veteran QB Joe Flacco, who will start for the Jets in place of the injured Sam Darnold. And well, the special teams can’t repeat last week’s mistakes, those were just embarrassing. Time to step it up.
