The GIST: Today is officially National Signing Day — the beginning of the end of the college football recruiting season. While most top athletes inked their National Letters of Intent (NLI) during December’s early signing period, a few Top 100 prospects are still up for grabs. Here’s who could put pen to gridiron paper starting today.

No. 31 Jaden Rashada: The five-star quarterback (QB) has been the center of attention recently. After signing as a Florida Gator in December, Rashada was released from his NLI in January after his reported $13 million name, image and likeness package fell through.

  • The dual-threat Californian QB may wait until later in this signing period to decide, but Rashada’s rumored top schools are Arizona State, where his father played ball, or CFP runner-up TCU, where Max Duggan is leaving some big cleats to fill.

No. 40 Duce Robinson: Robinson, the nation’s No. 1 tight end, isn’t just a five-star football recruit. The high-level baseball prospect is deciding between Georgia, Alabama, USC and Texas…if he stays on the gridiron. But if MLB calls with a diamond proposal, the Power Five may be out of power plays.

No. 39 Nyckoles Harbor: Another two-sport athlete in the mix is five-star Harbor, who’s expected to sign at 1 p.m. ET today. While Maryland, Michigan and South Carolina are the brightest lighthouses right now, the football and track star (and maybe 2024 Olympian) just spent the weekend in Eugene, Oregon — TrackTown USA — with the Ducks. Ope.

No. 100 Rodrick Pleasant: The No. 11 cornerback in the country, four-star Pleasant is also an elite track athlete. The 100m and 200m California state champ’s list includes Boston College, UCLA and Cal, but word on the street is that the real contenders are Oregon and USC. Catch which roster gets a Pleasant surprise at 1:30 p.m. ET today.
