The women: The first women’s championship was in 1982, and since then, dynasties have dominated the sport: Of the nine teams to win a DI natty, six have won multiple consecutive championships. Stanford leads all schools with 11, followed by Georgia and Texas with seven apiece.

The men: It’s a similar but even more extreme story in the men’s pool, where the NCAA’s been handing out hardware since 1937. In the past 85 seasons, only 13 (!!!) DI schools have taken home trophies, with nine winning multiple titles in a row. It’s giving monarchy.

  • Texas leads the way with 15 titles, but Cal’s the most recent champ after securing a repeat (and their eighth natty ever) in March. Those two are currently locked in an epic rivalry — they’ve traded off as winner and runner-up in 11 of the last 13 seasons. Spicy.
